EDO Lands Deal to Support Unmanned Aircraft

Contract is to provide support for the Army’s UAS Project Office

EDO Corp. has announced a five-year task order to provide programmatic support to the Army’s Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Project Office. The task order has a ceiling value of $37 million, with $1.1 million initial funding. Unmanned Aircraft Systems are remotely piloted or self-piloted aircraft that can carry cameras, communications equipment, weapons or other devices. EDO will provide services such as strategic planning; acquisition support; analyzing costs, training and testing; and logistics planning. The UAS Project Office manages the following systems: Raven, Shadow, Hunter, Warrior, and Future Forces Class I – IV UAS. These systems provide reconnaissance, surveillance and weapons delivery. The task order was competitively awarded under the Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Expedited Professional and Engineering Support Services (EXPRESS) contract.
